NOTE opens Centers of Excellence

NOTE, the Swedish manufacturer of electronics opens competence centers, so called Centers of Excellence at their Swedish factories in Norrtelje, Torsby and Lund. Many of the worlds most well known experts within production from the commercial and industrial life, college and universities, are linked to those centers. The new efforts were announced at the “Construction Days” 2003 that were held in Ahus in the southern part of Sweden and, a forum for discussion between constructors of electronics.

– Today we open the Center of Excellence for opto/telecom at our factory on the Nordrona Campus in Norrtelje. A number of production experts from different areas in electronics are at our customers disposal. A Professor and Technological Doctor in opto/telecom, will be at our help, Erik Stenfors, President of the NOTE-group, tells us. On the campus there are also institutions like the Stockholm University and the Karolinska Institute represented. Their presence contributes to that NOTE hast decided to start up here. Later this year NOTE Centers of Excellence at NOTE Torsby (vehicle/industry) and NOTE Xperi i Lund (medical), will be also opened.

Strengthened competitive ability

– NOTE Center of Excellence is an important part of our competence package NOTE Excellence that was launched earlier this year in connection with the openings of NOTE Lab in Norrtelje, Torsby, Lund, Kista and Gothenburg. NOTE Excellence enables a lower cost of production and is a part of our own analyze- and feed-back system; NOTE QS, that provides a smoother production process. The expertise available at NOTE Center of Excellence will help our customers to be one step ahead of their competitors, Erik Stenfors continues.
