The buyer is Optronic, a Swedish service provider in optronics with a focus on integrated production and development.<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>Earlier relocation of volume production to NOTE's plants in Estonia and China has significantly reduced the scale of NOTE Skellefte\u00e5. The number of employees currently totals some 40. An agreement has now been reached to sell the remaining business to Optronic. The takeover will be implemented from year-end 2009, and some of the staff will be able to continue working at Optronic in Skellefte\u00e5. <\/p>\n<p>\u201dWhat is now happening is gratifying. As a result of the takeover, expertise and continuity in the relationship with customers are ensured. It is also very positive that together with Optronic we have managed to achieve the best possible solution for our staff in Skellefte\u00e5. The transaction also means that we are reducing our total assets, while contributing to somewhat strengthening our margin in the fourth quarter,\u201d says Knut Pogost, President and CEO of NOTE.<\/p>\n<p>Rickard \u00c5str\u00f6m, CEO of Optronic, says the timing of the deal is good for the company:<br \/>\n\u201dThe optronics market is growing strongly, and the acquisition of NOTE Skellefte\u00e5 enables us to meet this growth in the best possible way.
