NOTE will manufacture an integrated complete module that can send and receive data wirelessly. The product is used, for example, for reading electricity, water, gas and heat consumption in households.<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>The deal has been signed by Norteam Electronics, which NOTE acquired in December 2008. Industrialisation, prototyping and low-volume production will take place at Norteam in Oslo. High-volume production will be located at NOTE's Industrial Plants in cost-efficient countries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe reason we chose NOTE as our supplier is proximity and flexibility. The first phases of the work will be done in close collaboration with us, which is both time- and cost-efficient. Volume production will then be located where it is most favourable for us,\u201d comments Radiocraft's CEO Peder Martin Ejven.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dThis is another good example of our Nearsourcing strategy working. It is based on three main areas - establishing Nearsourcing Centres close to customers, controlling costs during the product life cycle, and cost-effective manufacturing located where it is optimal for the customer.
