Significant events during the year
\n- Methodical Nearsourcing - measures taken to move labour-intensive manufacturing and sourcing services to cost-effective countries, reducing the number of employees in Sweden by around 400 people or just over 50%. Most of the redundancies will take place in the first half of 2009.
\n- Acquisition in the UK - establishment of a new Nearsourcing Centre for long-term sales growth in the UK market
\n- Acquisition of Swedish mechanical engineering supplier - valuable mechanical expertise brought close to customers for development of advanced prototypes and manufacturing of small series
\n- Acquisition in Norway - establishment of Nearsourcing Centre for further sales growth in the Norwegian market<\/p>\n
Significant events after the year-end
\n- Market breakthrough for Nearsourcing - based on the collaboration with the Nearsourcing Centre in Oslo, Norwegian Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has decided to use NOTEfied in the development of new products<\/p>\n
