NOTE establishes itself in the UK<\/p>\n
NOTE, one of Scandinavia's leading contract manufacturers, is setting up in the UK. Elaine Barnes will be responsible for the business.<\/p>\n
During its IPO this spring, NOTE declared its goal of becoming one of Europe's leading contract manufacturers of electronics within five years. As an initial step in this expansion, NOTE today announces that it will expand its UK operations by opening a Gateway in the UK.<\/p>\n
\"Being a leader in Europe requires a presence on key European markets,\" says Erik Stenfors, CEO of NOTE. \"We already have ongoing business discussions with potential customers in the UK, and for us, this is a logical next step.\"<\/p>\n
The UK operation will be led by Elaine Barnes, who was previously Director of Sales for Global Customers in Europe at world-leading component distributor, Future Electronics. <\/p>\n
\"There is great potential for companies like NOTE in the UK market,\" says Elaine Barnes. \"NOTE's business model of hi-tech units close to product owners, together with production facilities for volume manufacturing in low-wage countries and a global presence, is a perfect fit for the UK market.\"<\/p>\n
NOTE's Gateway concept consists of smaller units located close to key customer segments, working on the industrialisation phase of new products. It also acts as a portal for the other added value NOTE offers in its business model. NOTE currently has five Gateways in Sweden.<\/p>\n
NOTE Gateway UK opens on 18 October.<\/p>\n
