NOTE receives major order from \u00c5kerstr\u00f6ms<\/p>\n
NOTE has been chosen as a partner by the electronics company in fierce competition
\n\u00c5kerstr\u00f6ms Trux AB. NOTE to manufacture industrial computers for forklifts
\nfor \u00c5kerstr\u00f6ms, which is enjoying great success on the world market with this
\nproduct. The order value is estimated at SEK 30 million during the
\ninitial year and will grow further. Production will be
\ntake place at NOTE in Torsby, the group's Centre of Excellence for
\naerospace\/industrial applications.<\/p>\n
\u00c5kerstr\u00f6ms has great success with its proprietary ruggedised computers
\nfor forklifts, the Trux series. Recently \u00c5kerstr\u00f6ms was selected as
\ntruck supplier to Ford in the United States. The order is the largest in the company's
\nhistory. Ford has a total of 17 production facilities in the US and they
\nis now equipping its forklifts at all its factories with the wireless ruggedised
\nthe truck computers from \u00c5kerstr\u00f6ms.<\/p>\n
- The market for truck computers is tough and places great demands on
\nquality and delivery times. It is also a market with a large
\ngrowth, which means that it is a critical choice to select the right
\ncontract manufacturer. We have chosen NOTE because we are confident that
\nthey will fulfil our high standards of quality and
\nreliability,\" says Mikael Andersson, CEO of \u00c5kerstr\u00f6ms.<\/p>\n
The contract with \u00c5kerstr\u00f6ms means that NOTE is responsible for the complete
\nthe production of forklift computers. Deliveries will start already in May 2004 and
\nestimated at an order value of SEK 30 million during the initial
\nthe year. The contract runs for several years and may be extended
\nfurther.<\/p>\n

The wireless computers are mounted in warehouse trucks and used to
\nstreamline the logistics flow. As computers are used in a tough,
\nindustrial environment, the requirements for reliability and durability are
\nvery large.<\/p>\n
NOTE will build up a dedicated production group for
\nthe forklift computers at the group's new factory in Torsby. The CEO of Torsby, Gerd
\nMs Levin-Nygren was recently named Manager of the Year by Chef magazine. Gerd has
\nhas been recognised for her empathetic leadership in changing
\nThe reputation of the Torsby factory. In addition, the business is expanding rapidly and
\nthere is a great deal of job satisfaction at NOTE Torsby.<\/p>\n
