NOTE, one of Sweden's leading contract manufacturers, awarded its Supplier of the Year prize to US component supplier Arrow this year. This award was established by NOTE to recognise and encourage skilled suppliers with high quality and service levels.<\/strong><\/div>\n

With an IPO in sight, the NOTE group has put another record year behind it. Strategically important acquisitions were made in 2003. The group's net sales increased by 33 per cent and profit after financial items increased by 105 per cent. One contributing factor to this positive progress is the company's high level of competence in component sourcing, a function that is centralised in the subsidiary NOTE Components. The subsidiary organises an annual event, Supplier Day, where the Supplier of the Year award is also presented. <\/p>\n

The award, presented by NOTE's CEO Erik Stenfors, went this year to US component manufacturer Arrow, with Swedish offices in Gothenburg, Kista, Karlskrona, Skellefte\u00e5 and other locations. The motivation was:
\n \"As a supplier to NOTE, Arrow Sweden AB has demonstrated true willingness to co-operate, and personal and good service. They've also delivered excellent quality, a favourable price image and contributed to a pleasant working climate. Arrow Sweden AB has not only performed as expected, but also that 'little extra' that makes NOTE happy to award them the Supplier of the Year 2003 prize.\"<\/p>\n

The Supplier Day was organised to increase the focus on the important cooperation between supplier and customer. A large number of representatives from various suppliers of electronic components, cabling and printed circuit boards were gathered in discussions about the future of the industry, and what demands will be placed on tomorrow's component suppliers.<\/p>\n

Bengt Emesten, CEO of NOTE Components, is also very satisfied with the component company's results and progress.
\n- Our business concept, where we negotiate prices for both the NOTE group and our global network, ems-ALLIANCE, means that we are becoming an increasingly strong player on the electronics manufacturers' market. For the NOTE group alone, we make purchases worth some SEK 800 m annually,\" says Bengt Emesten.<\/p>\n
