- Profit after financial items decreased by 74 per cent to SEK 16.6 (63.0) million.

The past year
- In May, a new, full-scale prototype laboratory, NOTE Lab, was inaugurated in Borås.
Later in the year, a co-operation agreement was signed with Chalmers Tekniska
University to locate a NOTE Lab at Chalmers.
- 23 June 2004 NOTE was introduced on the Stockholm Stock Exchange O-list and 6 months
NOTE shares later qualified for listing on the O-list, segment
Attract40.
- In August, a brand new production facility was inaugurated in Torsby. The unit with a
area of 4,500 square metres, is one of the most modern in Europe and has special
to electronics in harsh environments.
- In September, a contract was signed for the production of all Åkerströms
products, including forklift computers for extremely harsh environments, an agreement that
guarantees a minimum volume of MSEK 150. In connection with the agreement
also Åkerström's own electronics manufacturing facility in Björbo, Dalarna.
- On 1 October, NOTE was established in the UK.
- In December, Ericsson Anslutningssystem in Skellefteå was acquired, a
subsidiary within the Ericsson Group. Ericsson Connection Systems develops
and manufactures prototypes and products for the telecoms and electronics industries.
- In December, an agreement was also signed to acquire the Finnish contract
manufacturer Point Product Oy. Point Product's customers are mainly
in industrial electronics. At the same time, it also acquired a production
plant in Pärnu, Estonia.
- In December, NOTE was selected by Neonode Sweden AB as a volume manufacturer of
the new Neonode N1 mobile phone. The contract has an order value of
SEK 200 m, making it one of NOTE's largest to date.
