Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace chooses NOTEfied and expands its collaboration with NOTE
NOTE's Nearsourcing business model is based on three main areas-establishing Nearsourcing Centres close to customers, implementing the NOTEfied component database to support development and sourcing work, and efficient production close to customers or in cost-efficient countries. NOTEfied is a unique, proprietary component database that can be linked directly to the customer's design system, which shortens product development times. Using NOTEfied simplifies, speeds up and secures material flows, from strategically correct component selection to finished products.
”This success on the Norwegian market is a good example of how our business model is appreciated. By being close to the customer with the right competence and the right services in the development and industrialisation phase, we can offer an unbeatably short time to market,” says Arne Forslund, President and CEO of NOTE.
”Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace is an important customer for NOTE, and I'm pleased that we're now further deepening our collaboration. Choosing NOTEfied gives both parties great opportunities to rationalise the development of new products,” continues Anders G. Johansen, NOTEfied Product & System Application Manager and Key Account Manager for the Kongsberg group.
”In 2008, KDA conducted an evaluation to select a common tool for circuit board design. Some of the main goals were to streamline work processes and get a more integrated system overall.
NOTE's solution integrates the component database with the Cadence design tool, which appealed to us from the start. This solution undoubtedly influenced our choice of Allegro from Cadence. We are very satisfied with the co-operation with NOTE so far and expect to expand it gradually by purchasing even more services from them”, says Suvada Besirovic, Manager Electronics Missile Systems & Aerostructures for KDA.
