NOTE and Schneider Electric expand co-operation

Contract manufacturer NOTE and Finnish Elari have deepened their collaboration on the production of Elari's range of wireless dimmers for buildings, the AirLink series. Elari is a subsidiary of the Schneider Electric group, a world-leading supplier of lighting products and fire safety equipment. The expanded part of the deal is estimated to amount to approximately SEK 40 million, which means that the total business with Schneider Electric will have annual sales of approximately SEK 90 million.

”Our deepened business relationship with Elari and the Schneider group is largely a result of our sales organisation's focus on key customers and our strong focus on quality work. In fact, NOTE's high-volume unit in Estonia is the only electronics factory in northern Europe that has passed Schneider's tough quality test and been approved as a supplier of Schneider's products,” says Arne Forslund, President and CEO of NOTE.

”Because NOTE's units are located in the same areas as Schneider's, we can also match customers” geographical needs. Being close to the customer, what we call NearsourcuingTM, is a key part of our flexible business model, and fully in line with market demand," continues Arne Forslund.

”In NOTE, we've found a long-term partner that listens to our needs and delivers on its promises. NOTE delivers manufacturing excellence with high delivery precision and quality at a favourable cost profile-it creates major competitive advantages on our market,” comments Kaj Nurminen, Plant Manager at Elari.

Transfer of production has already started from Elaris' own plant to NOTE Pärnu in Estonia. Initial deliveries are expected in the autumn.
