NOTE Borås expands operations and announces management changes
NOTE Borås today inaugurates a full-scale prototype laboratory in
connection to the existing production facility. At the same time
announcing upcoming management changes.
During a customer meeting with over 30 invited companies, NOTE Borås today inaugurates
NOTE Lab - a laboratory developed specifically for
prototyping of new electronic products. The laboratory contains
full production equipment, and also staff with specialised
competences and specially selected testing instruments. The aim is to - in addition to
prototypes - be able to deliver feedback of production experience.
"High-quality feedback during the prototyping phase is crucial. Then
determines the cost, quality, and price of the future product
delivery precision", says the NOTE group's Lab expert Anders Andersson,
and CEO of NOTE Nyköping-Skänninge. "We have used this concept
successfully in several other NOTE facilities, and we are now expanding the service
to product owners in western Sweden," Andersson continues.
On 1 May Anders Andersson was appointed acting Deputy CEO of NOTE
Borås. Anders is a civil engineer and was previously active as CEO of ITAB-
group, from which NOTE acquired ITAB Elektronik in 2003.
Anders was responsible for both the development and production of
electronics products. Anders will work on implementing NOTE
Lab, and deepening co-operation with strategic customers.
NOTE Borås also announces that its CEO, Anders Claesson, intends to leave
his position in the summer. "The change is planned," says Anders
Claesson. "Under the previous owner, it was a tough period with threats of bankruptcy
before NOTE took over the business. Today, the situation is stable with large
investments and further development of the business. The
feels good to be able to leave the company now that the business is showing positive
results," says Claesson.
Erik Stenfors, CEO of NOTE: "It is very sad that Anders
ends, but we are grateful that he stayed during the recreation of
operations in Borås. Anders now leaves a profitable company with good
future prospects".
In the summer, NOTE will announce a new CEO for NOTE Borås.
