NOTE continues its European expansion - now in France
NOTE announced at the Electronica trade fair in Munich that the group is now establishing a presence in France. Annette Malmström will be responsible for the business.
NOTE's target is to be one of Europe's leading contract manufacturers of electronics by 2009. NOTE started its European expansion in October this year by establishing a Gateway* in London. NOTE is now continuing by establishing a Gateway in Strasbourg for expansion on the French market.
"Establishing a presence in France is a natural step," says Erik Stenfors, CEO of NOTE. "We already have customers in France and see a good opportunity to continue growing on the French EMS market."
The French operation will be headed by Ms Anette Malmström.
"The French market is well suited to NOTE's business model," says Anette Malmström. "Like Sweden, France has a technology tradition with strong product owners who need subcontractors with global concepts."
* A Gateway is a smaller unit placed close to key customer areas. Through NOTE Gateway, customers can access services related to the industrialisation phase. A Gateway also acts as a portal for the other value-added services NOTE offers in its business model, such as the global ems-ALLIANCE network. NOTE currently has five Gateways in Sweden and one in the UK.
