NOTE divests mechanics unit in Järfälla

NOTE has sold the business of its mechanical engineering unit in Järfälla. The buyer is Stockholm-based Larsson Finmekaniska AB, which already co-operates with NOTE. NOTE Järfälla AB had sales of some SEK 13 million last year, and 18 employees.

”The sale of our mechanical processing unit in Järfälla is a streamlining of operations in Sweden to electronics manufacture, logistics and final assembly of complete products. Over the years, our mechanical engineering unit in Järfälla has transferred mechanical engineering competence to other units in the group, primarily to NOTE's sourcing functions. This has enabled us to establish a strong partnership model with selected suppliers in the mechanical engineering segment, which has helped us deepen our customer assignments in final assembly of complete products-a service currently offered by all NOTE units.

We have had unsatisfactory profitability in our own mechanical engineering production in recent years. In the short term, the sale includes restructuring costs, but the transaction is expected to have a positive impact on our operating profit already in 2015,” says Peter Laveson, President and CEO of NOTE.
