NOTE expands to the West Coast

Sweden's fastest growing electronics manufacturer, NOTE, is now also expanding geographically, starting operations in Gothenburg in spring 2002. OEMs on the west coast have been without access to a major EMS supplier. Now the first global electronics manufacturer is taking its place. This means that companies in the Gothenburg region will have direct access to expertise in Electronic Manufacturing Service.

- Gothenburg has many companies that demand high quality electronics production. By starting operations there, we're getting closer to our customers, enabling us to offer a shorter route from idea to production in close collaboration with the customer," says NOTE's CEO Sten Dybeck.

NOTE has had staff on site in Gothenburg for some time preparing for the start-up. This initiative is part of the company's current offensive expansion. NOTE is on the list of Swedish growth companies for the fifth year in a row.

- We've already had positive feedback from our customers in the Gothenburg region. I think the explanation for NOTE's success is our close approach to our customers. We want to grow with them, and for those who want to, we want to give them the opportunity to produce globally. In line with this, the investment in Gothenburg is absolutely right," says Sten Dybeck.
