NOTE receives multi-million order from Trimble

NOTE will start producing electronics for positioning systems, known as total stations, used in applications including surveying. The customer is Trimble AB, one of the world's leading companies in optical positioning systems. The value of the order is tens of millions of SEK on an annual basis.

- In an international evaluation of various supplier alternatives, we've concluded that NOTE clearly offers the best overall solution. We also have very favourable experience of NOTE and NOTE Torsby, which previously performed a small part of our production. This is an important reason why we've now decided to let NOTE Norrtelje handle all our Swedish PCB assembly," says Torsten Spaak, Purchasing Manager at Trimble AB.

Sold on all continents
Trimble's total stations are used for surveying and setting out in infrastructure projects, in the construction industry and in other surveying activities. The instruments are used to measure and position, for example, when the boundaries of a plot are to be determined or when a building is to be erected. "Our total stations are sold all over the world and today about 95 per cent of our production is exported," Torsten Spaak continues.

Rapid start of production
- Like NOTE, Trimble AB is a Swedish company with global operations, which makes this assignment an excellent fit for us," explains Björn Rilegård, head of NOTE Norrtelje's sales office and prototype workshop in Kista. NOTE Norrtelje starts production for Trimble in early November
