NOTE gives notice to employees in Björbo
NOTE is giving notice of redundancy to 8 employees working in production at NOTE Björbo AB. The plant has a total of 21 employees.
The background to the notice is the changes resulting from the RoHS Directive, which entails the transition to lead-free production and the associated investments. The transition, which affects the EU area, will be completed by 1 July 2006. NOTE has decided to concentrate lead-free production to the group's other plants, and accordingly, PCB production in Björbo will be transferred to NOTE Torsby.
NOTE Björbo will continue to serve as the unit for final assembly and testing.
