NOTE honours TTI Electronics as Supplier of the Year
TTI Electronics, one of NOTE's largest component suppliers, was one of twenty candidates competing for the award for the fifth year running. The award was presented by Knut Pogost, CEO of NOTE Components and group sales and marketing director, at NOTE's annual Supplier Day event. "This award is a way of demonstrating our appreciation of suppliers who keep up with progress and give us the best possible service at a favourable price," says Pogost.
The measurement process is the responsibility of Ove Danielsson, the group's quality manager. "We divide the suppliers into four groups: distributors, mechanical companies, PCB manufacturers and cabling companies. They are then measured within their respective groups on various parameters, such as delivery reliability, delivery quality, payment terms and service level. New this year is the parameter of number of order lines delivered, which affects the percentage of your group. We realise that it takes a lot of effort and well-functioning logistics to achieve the combination of high delivery precision and a high number of order lines," says Danielsson.
"Since material content accounts for 60-70% of the total product cost, it is important that we have good co-operation with our suppliers and that the components are available at short notice, are of high quality, delivered on time and offered at a low cost. By continuously measuring our key suppliers and giving them feedback throughout the year, we help each other drive progress in the sector in the right direction-we've created a win-win situation that benefits us all," adds Arne Forslund, President and CEO of NOTE AB.
