NOTE produces for Saab Bofors Underwater Systems

NOTE Torsby has signed a five-year contract with Saab Bofors Underwater Systems. NOTE will manufacture the electronics for the MK II and MK III underwater vehicles. The vehicles are used for mine hunting and sold abroad for military purposes.

- Discussions between us have been going on for a long time, and it feels extremely exciting to manufacture these products," says Gerd Levin-Nygren, CEO of NOTE Torsby. "At our Torsby plant, we have specialised competence in marine electronics, and this is clearly the right kind of customer for us," concludes Gerd.

The submersibles are very technologically advanced and carry an advanced sensor system. They can also carry mine clearance equipment.
- We conducted an evaluation of various suppliers some time ago, and we chose NOTE," says Peter Erkers, ROV Purchasing Manager, Saab Bofors Underwater Systems AB. "NOTE Torsby suits us as a supplier because they can produce smaller series with complicated technology. They also have good military references and the standards we require," concludes Peter.
