NOTE signs agreement with Åkerströms exceeding SEK 150 million

NOTE, one of Sweden's leading contract manufacturers of electronics, has
signed an agreement for the manufacture of all Åkerströms products.
The agreement, which guarantees a minimum volume of 150 MSEK, also includes
takeover of Åkerström's own electronics production in Björbo.

Since the spring, NOTE has been manufacturing Åkerströms truck computers for tough
environments. The co-operation is now being extended to Åkerström's other
business unit, wireless radio control systems. In this context, NOTE takes
over Åkerström's own production in Björbo, comprising about 20 people.
Åkerströms recently received its second prestigious order from the USA. Previously, the
Ford chose Åkerströms, and now Mercedes has also chosen Åkerströms computers
for its production facility in Alabama.

"What we see is the beginning of a clear expansion phase for our company",
says Marianne Arosenius, CEO of Åkerströms. "The co-operation with
NOTE enables us to focus on our core business,
i.e. the development, marketing, sales and service of our
products."
"We are very pleased with the trust Åkerströms shows us," says Erik
Stenfors, CEO of NOTE: "Within the framework of our special concept
for the takeover of production units, we are now forming a so-called Gateway in
Björbo."
The agreement, which initially runs for three years, covers all Åkerströms
products and guarantees a minimum volume of 150 MSEK. Åkerströms' own
production consisting of about 20 people in Björbo is transformed into a so-called
Gateway for the NOTE group in Dalarna. The business will
organisationally to be placed under NOTE's plant in Torsby.

"There are several interesting product companies in Dalarna," says Gerd Levin-
Nygren, CEO of NOTE Torsby, whose newly built production facility was inaugurated
by "Svennis" the other week. "Our concept - which is based on
proximity to customers - has been much appreciated and we expect
get additional customers through the Björbo unit."
