NOTE signs agreement with Waystream AB

Swedish technology company Waystream manufactures products for broadband networks, and the agreement means that production will be transferred to NOTE's plant in Lund.

Waystream already manufactures products in China, but sees many advantages in manufacturing the new version of its high-speed routers at NOTE's plant in Lund. Production of small batches is expected to start in Q3 and then expand to batch production in Q4.

”NOTE is progressing strongly, and we continue to win the confidence of many customers. For some time now, we've seen a noticeable increase in interest in manufacturing in Sweden and our neighbouring region. Waystream is an exciting company that we look forward to developing a good partnership with.”, says Johannes Lind-Widestam, NOTE's President and CEO.

"The agreement with NOTE AB is part of our risk minimisation strategy. By manufacturing our products at several locations around the world, we become less vulnerable to disruptions in the logistics system. For the manufacture of our new switches, we were therefore looking for a suitable partner with the competitiveness and competence needed. Proximity to our main markets was also an important requirement for environmental reasons. We found that NOTE Lund AB could fulfil these requirements, which is why we chose them.", says Susanne Torrbacka, interim CEO of Waystream.
