NOTE strengthens market and sales at group level
NOTE, one of Scandinavia's leading contract manufacturers, established itself in the UK and France in the autumn. The company is now reinforcing its focus on expansion in Europe, with Mats Hultin, former CEO of NOTE Norrtelje, moving to establish a global marketing and sales function.
NOTE's target is to be one of Europe's top 10 EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) suppliers by 2009. This objective includes establishing a presence on key European markets. Accordingly, Gateways were established in London and Strasbourg in October and November this year.
As part of the European expansion, Mats Hultin, currently CEO of NOTE Norrtelje, will establish a marketing and sales function at group level, with strategic responsibility for establishing NOTE on new markets.
"Our objectives and our initial establishments in the UK and France mean we need to reshape and strengthen our organisation," says Erik Stenfors, CEO of NOTE. Mats Hultin has built up NOTE Norrtelje, and will now take on new growth tasks at group level."
"I look forward to the challenge of working on the development of the Group's market and sales during the expansion phase that we have now begun," says Mats Hultin. "I hope that my experience as a leader and entrepreneur can be of benefit to the entire Group."
Patrik Kvarnlöf has been appointed as the new CEO of NOTE Norrtelje. Patrik Kvarnlöf has worked at NOTE Norrtelje since 1993, including as Deputy CEO, and currently works in the corporate staff at NOTE AB.
The change will enter into force on 1 December 2004.
