NOTE Xperi hit by fire

At 3.15am last night, a fire was discovered by the night shift on the surface assembly line at electronics manufacturer NOTE Xperi. The Lund fire brigade was alerted by the automatic fire alarm and was on the scene as early as 03.25. The fire was visible from the outside, burning through the roof and generating a lot of smoke. The fire has been extinguished and the clean-up work is in full swing. The cause of the fire is being investigated ...

- Approximately 25% of the production area is burnt out. The rest of the production area and machinery is only smoke-damaged, and decontamination work is already underway. Our component stock is basically intact," says Kjell-Åke Andersson, CEO of NOTE Xperi
- "We have taken a number of measures to ensure that our customers are as little affected by the incident as possible. For example, we've asked customers to prioritise the orders that are most important right now, and we'll be working hard to deliver these," continues Kjell-Åke.
