NOTE continues to grow

Despite the very difficult situation in the electronics sector, Swedish contract manufacturer NOTE is continuing to increase profits and sales significantly. The half-year report released today showed that profit before tax increased by 62 per cent to SEK 27.7 (17.1) million. Net sales increased by 15 per cent to SEK 373.6 (325.3) million. NOTE is a contract manufacturer of electronics, with plants in Norrtälje and Torsby, and offices in Kista, Gothenburg and Gdansk. While most of its peers in the sector are making losses and being forced to make redundancies, NOTE is going against the grain and improving its profits.

Sten Dybeck, NOTE's Chairman of the Board, explains that one reason for this success is the group's fast decision-making processes, and that NOTE has succeeded in acquiring additional large strategic customers from various sectors in the past six months. "Furthermore, our acquisition of BEVE Electronics is an important step for our future development," continues Mr Dybeck.

"My previous assessment that the NOTE group will continue its growth in terms of both sales and profits remains unchanged, even if the economy remains weak," concludes Sten Dybeck.
