Turnover up 57% for Norrtelje Elektronik

Norrtelje Elektronik had a turnover of SEK 109.2 million during the period May to August, compared with SEK 69.6 million during the corresponding period last year. This is shown in the company's latest interim report. Operating profit for the period has increased even more sharply: from SEK 1.7 million to SEK 5.1 million.
High demand
- We have gained several new customers, which has increased our total number of customers during the period. At the same time, we have received many enquiries. It's been a long time since we've had as many quotations out as we do now," says Björn Rilegård, Sales Manager at Norrtelje Elektronik. At the beginning of the quarter, the order backlog was SEK 203 million, at the end SEK 217 million. Growth has mainly been in information technology, telecommunications and security systems.
New turnover record?
Up to August this year, Norrtelje Elektronik had a turnover of SEK 200.4 million. This figure can be compared with the record year 1999, when turnover for the first eight months totalled SEK 132.4 million. Norrtelje Elektronik is a global contract supplier of flexible electronics production and customised logistics.
