NOTE manufactures electronics for new Hasselblad camera

Swedish electronics group NOTE has been commissioned by Victor Hasselblad AB to manufacture electronics for Hasselblad's new camera systems for professional film and digital photography.

World first in the photo industry
Hasselblad is recognised as the world's leading camera manufacturer. The new camera system, known as H1, is the first new medium format system introduced by the company in 45 years. The system is electronically very advanced and is based on microcomputer-controlled products in a network with various system functions. New features include a fast and accurate autofocus system and a high-precision automatic exposure system.

New segment for NOTE
NOTE will manufacture all the hard circuit boards for H1. - Production for Hasselblad's new camera system is one of the most technically advanced NOTE is currently undertaking. One of the circuit boards is so advanced that it is assembled by NOTE Norrtelje and then processed by Centronic Ltd in the UK, before being sent to Fuji Film in Japan. There, it is assembled into a unit that is then shipped back to Hasselblad Göteborg," explains Sten Dybeck, Chairman of NOTE AB. Camera electronics is a completely new segment for NOTE, so this order is important for the group. - Internationally, Hasselblad is one of Sweden's strongest brands, and we're proud to have been entrusted with our expertise in electronics production," concludes Sten Dybeck. Hasselblad's new camera system will be available in stores from November 2002.
