NOTE acquires manufacturing capacity in Poland
”It is very positive that we are now moving forward with co-operation with Fideltronik, which is by far the leading privately owned EMS supplier in Poland. Our joint company will be based in Fideltronik's current factory in Krakow and have around 220 employees. The acquisition gives us access to additional cost-efficient manufacturing capacity in Poland to complement our other international plants in the Baltics and China. In addition to manufacturing capacity, the new operation will help increase NOTE's competence in product and test development. We are further strengthening our customer offering in the growing market for complex, labour-intensive products,” says
Arne Forslund, President and CEO of NOTE.
”The plant has good capacity utilisation today, but our intention is to gradually focus production only for NOTE's customers. The acquisition will have a marginal effect on sales and profits in the current year, but we expect a positive effect as early as next year by moving production to Poland. This acquisition is fully in line with our long-term strategy to increase sales growth in Europe,” summarises Arne Forslund.
”NOTE has a very competitive service offering close to the customer and end market. After several years of successful collaboration, I have strong confidence in NOTE as a company and long-term partner. By further deepening our co-operation, we are well equipped for continued growth,” says
Zbigniew Fidelus, Founder and CEO of Fideltronik.
