Supplier of the Year 2001 selected

The Supplier of the Year award was established by NOTE in 2001 as a contact-building annual tradition. The aim is to encourage and show official appreciation for the goods and services NOTE receives from skilled suppliers. In addition, representatives of suppliers to the electronics industry receive information about the industry from the customer's point of view.

NOTE's Supplier Day attracted over 50 subcontractors to the electronics industry. To encourage responsiveness, NOTE annually honours one of its suppliers as Supplier of the Year. The motivation was "For good co-operation based on good delivery precision, high quality and technical support with a personal and reliable service". Component distributor ACTE Components AB was chosen as Supplier of the Year 2001.

"Last year was tough for most people, and there is a pent-up need to gain insight into how we see the future," says Bengt Emesten, CEO of NOTE Components AB.

The aim is also to create a closer relationship between customer and supplier to provide a better understanding of the most important issues of the day. "Just a couple of years ago, the big challenge was component shortages and getting deliveries at all. Today, it's price reductions and credit periods that are discussed," continues Bengt Emesten.

NOTE, which went against the tide and made record profits in 2001, believes in brighter times. "It's not so much a crisis as a transition. The amount of electronics to be produced is increasing month by month, but the new products are not in mobile phones. " concludes Bengt Emesten.
